Animal Companions- Blue Mountain Humane Association
Looking for as many students as possible that like socializing with cats and walking dogs. Opportunities available Tuesday – Saturday from 10am to 4 pm.

Looking for students that can follow directions and are able to lift and carry food boxes (15-25 pounds). Flexible hours weekdays between 10am and 3pm.

Food Banks etc.- Community Connections
Looking for up to six students with interest in community awareness to help with food banks, help with meals-on-wheels and/or help people sign up for the Oregon Health Plan. Will train as needed. Flexible hours during weekdays.

Activity Assistant- Grande Ronde Retirement Residence
Looking for one student that appreciates the elderly. Ability to follow directions and use common sense necessary. Flexible hours during weekdays.

Adult & Family Literacy- La Grande Public Library
Many volunteer options including tutor and reading partner. Looking for six or more students to work with literacy program. Training available for students that desire more involvement with the program. Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursdays for about 2 hours per week.

Education- City of La Grande Air Quality Commission
Work with commission and city staff to develop and deliver a 6th grade Air Quality Education Program focusing on vehicle emissions. Communication and organizations skills required prefer Education major interested in environmental issues. Monday & Wednesdays with some evenings during Winter term.

Biology- Oregon Dept of Fish & Wildlife
Assist with the process of science: Conduct literature research, analyze data, and write a scientific paper for publication. Looking for 2 students with interest in Biology, prefer students that have taken statistics. Flexible hours.
